Questions and Answers

  • How much does it cost to have a professional photo shoot? - This all depends on what type of photography you need, the location the photos will be taken, and of course how long each shoot lasts. If you are doing an in studio photo shoot at the average time of about 3 hours, you can expect to pay around $350-500. Model portfolios tend to take a bit longer, about 5-6 hours, and range from $500-1200. Please refer to the pricing page for more information.

  • How do I get my images after the shoot?  -  All of our clients are given access to their images through an online proofing system. This system is password protected and allows users to view, select, and order retouching services and prints from their photos.

  • Why do I need to sign a model release?  -  Even though you may not want your photos used on the Gia Wood Photography website or other industry websites for promotion, all clients must sign a release form. The photo release is a way of ensuring that each model or client understands that Gia Wood Photography owns the copyrights to the photos.

  • Why does Gia Wood Photography require copyright stamps on all images that are going to be displayed on the internet?  -  This is due to the wide range of legal issues that arise when images are stolen from the internet. Sometimes it is another photographer claiming it is their work, and other times it is someone claiming to be the person in the photograph. There have even been other studios who have taken the photos from our website and made print ads with them claiming it to be their own work. The copyright stamp is to help avoid illegal use of our work.

  • I'm a model and this is my first photo shoot. What do I need to bring to the shoot?  -  Please refer to the prep page for more information.
